• In this tutorial we will be exploring payment methods in VirtueMart
• Navigate to Store >> List Payment Methods
• Let's look at the PayPal module
• You can activate the module here
• You shouldn't need to change any of these settings, but if you have specific need you can
• You can set the payment method to only be available for certain shopper groups. This is helpful if you want to only allow larger buyers to pay via check, for example
• When you are first setting up a new payment method you will want to test it in test mode before doing a live transaction
• Enter the email address of your PayPal account
• PayPal can tell VirtueMart when a transaction has been completed. You can set the status that the order gets changed to
• This is the status the order is set to after the order is placed, before VirtueMart gets notified of the payment
• One of PayPal's features is you can only allow a transaction to go through if the buyer has gone through the verification methods
• If the payment fails you can set the order status for the order
• Some payment methods allow you to pass additional information, this can be set in this box
