This tutorial will show you how to create a category in VirtueMart
Tutorial Text
- In this tutorial we will be adding a new category to our store
- Navigate to Products >> Add Category
- Choose if you want your category published
- Then enter a name
- Then enter a description for the category
- You can choose a parent category
- You can change the template page for the category
- You can change the number of products to show per row in the category overview page
- You can create a default flypage for the category as well
- Let's go to the Images page
- You can upload an image for the category. VirtueMart can also create the thumbnail for you automatically
- SSave the category
- Your new category has been created and you can now enter products under it
