Tutorial Text
- In this tutorial we will be managing friendly URLs in OpenSEF
- Begin by clicking List Friendly URLs
- Any column with a red 'X' or a gree checkmark can be toggled by clicking on the image
- Let's unpublish the /blogsection/ URL
- Let's edit the /blogsection/ item
- Let's change the friendly URL
- Users will now access this page by visiting www.yoursite.com/blogs/
- You can change the internal URL if you need to. If the URL was auto-generated by OpenSEF you shouldn't need to change this value
- You can set whether this URL should be published
- You can also add any notes to the URL
- Let's look at the Advanced details
- These details are all very well explained. You don't need to change any of them for OpenSEF to work normally
- Let's Save our changes
- You can see that the name has been changed
- Now we will delete a URL. You can use this if you are having problems wiht a specific URL
- Now let's add a new URL
- Enter the friendly URL. All friendly URLs must begin with a /
- Then enter the internal URL. This is the URL that would be generated if SEF URLs were turned off
- Like when editting, you can set publishing and notes
- Save the new URL
- Your new friendly URL has been created
