Tutorial Text

  • In this tutorial we will be changing the access level of content on our Mambo site.
  • Navigate to Content >> All Content Items
  • There are two ways to change the access level of the content.
  • In the first method, all you need to do is click on link under the Access heading. This will cycle through the 3 different levels.
  • Public - This setting allows the content to be viewed by any visitor to your site.
  • Registered - This content can only be viewed by users who have registered for your site and have logged in.
  • Special - This content can only be viewed by users who have logged in to your site and have at least the access level of Author.
  • The second way is from within the content item itself. Let's start by editing the content item.
  • We will set it to be for registered members.
  • Now let's Save the item.
  • We can now see that the Access Level has been maintained.
