This tutorial will show you how to manually install a mambot on your Joomla site.

Tutorial Text

  • In this tutorial we will be installing a mambot using the Joomla manual mambot installer. This is helpful if your host does not support gunzip.
  • Right click on your installer file and select the Extract to fck_mos_2RCs_mosButtons\ menu item
  • Now we need to copy our file to the Joomla installation. If you are installing onto a remote server, you will need to FTP the files to your server.
  • Copy the files to administrator/ components/ com_install/ mambot
  • This is what your folder should look like if you are using a local install. Your FTP folder should look similar. We now need to switch back over to Joomla to finish the installation.
  • To begin navigate to Installers >> Mambots.
  • Fill out the Install directory field with the path to the folder that contains your mambot's .xml file. After you have done this click Install.
  • This screen will show you any information about the mambot you just installed.
  • When you are ready click Continue...
  • We can now see the mambot has been installed
