This tutorial will show you how to manually install a language on your Joomla site.

In this tutorial we will manually install a language using the Joomla language installer. This is useful if your host does not support gunzip.
Right-click your language file and select Extract to 451germani\
Right-click on your newly created folder and select Copy. If you are uploading to a remote server this would be the time to connect to your FTP client.
The folder we want to connect to is administrator/ components/ com_install/ language.
Paste/upload the language folder to this folder.
The folder is now uploaded. Let's now go to Joomla.
To begin navigate to Installers >> Languages.
Type the path to your folder in the Install directory field and click Install.
This screen will show you any information about the language you just installed.
When you are ready click Continue...
You can now see your lanaguage was installed.
