Add a Category

In this tutorial we will show you how to add a category to your Joomla site.

In this tutorial we will be adding a new content category that we will be able to create new content under.
To begin navigate to Content >> Category Manager.
To create our new category click the New button in the toolbar.
Fill in the fields for the Category Title and Category Name.
Now we will select the Section to associate this category with.
You can also assign an image to be displayed with this category and set the access level from this screen.
Now we need to type in a description of our new category.
To create our new category click the Save button in the toolbar.
Our category is now created and published. It's ready for us to create content under it.
