In this tutorial we will show you how to add a category to your Joomla site. |
Tutorial Text
- In this tutorial we will be adding a new content category that we will be able to create new content under.
- To begin navigate to Content >> Category Manager.
- To create our new category click the New button in the toolbar.
- Fill in the fields for the Category Title and Category Name.
- Now we will select the Section to associate this category with.
- You can also assign an image to be displayed with this category and set the access level from this screen.
- Now we need to type in a description of our new category.
- To create our new category click the Save button in the toolbar.
- Our category is now created and published. It's ready for us to create content under it.
