• In this tutorial we will be installing and using the JCE advanced link manager
• Begin by navigating to Components >> JCE Admin >> JCE Plugins
• First click the Install button
• Browse to the package on your computer
• Select the package and click the Open button
• Then click Upload File & Install
• It's been installed, click Continue...
• Now let's go edit a content item
• Choose an item to edit
• Select some text in the story you want to link
• Then click the link button
• Enter a URL for the link
• If you have any anchors on the page, you can assign the link to point to that anchor
• You can select the target for the link as well
• You can set a title for the link. This is very helpful for SEO purposes
• You can change the CSS class for the link
• If you would like to create an email link you can do that as well
• You can also link directly to a content item within Joomla
• Let's move on to the popup tab
• You can have the link show in a popup window. If you do you can set the size and position of the window along with several other options.
• Let's move on to the Events tab
• You can set several JavaScript actions on various events. This should only be used if you know what you are doing.
• Let's move on to the Advanced tab
• You can set many advanced settings for the link. Again, these should only be used if you know what you are doing.
• One useful tool for differently-abled users is the Tabindex setting. This allows users of screenreaders to tab between your links, and you can set the order they go in. Use numerals, 0 is the lowest.
• Then let's insert the link
• We can see the link has been created
