This tutorial will show you how to setup articles in iJoomla

  • In this tutorial we will be creating a new article for iJoomla. Articles are the actual content your users see and are drawn from your normal Joomla content.
  • Begin by clicking the Articles link
  • This screen will show all articles you currently have created. Let's create a new article.
  • Enter a heading for the article. This is the header that is shown when viewing the full issue.
  • You can choose to hide the heading if you want. You can also choose the placement of the article.
  • Then you need to set the magazine and issue that the article is assigned to.
  • Then choose the category that your content item is in.
  • Then select the article that will be displayed.
  • You can also select an author for the article, set a remote URL to use for the read more link and set the ordering.
  • Let's go to the Publishing tab
  • You can set the published status of the article.
  • Let's move on to the Images tab.
  • You can add images that will be shown with the article.
  • Then let's move on to the Side Bar tab.
  • Here you can set an additional content item to show in the sidebar section of your article. This can be very useful to get users to read more content on your site.
  • Select the section, category, and source for the article.
  • Then set a heading for the side bar article.
  • Then you can choose to hide the title and read more links as well as set the size for the box.
  • Let's save the article.
  • The article has been created. Let's go to the frontend to see what it looks like.
  • This is our article. Notice the side bar article.
