This tutorial will show you how to edit the configuration in iJoomla Magazine

Tutorial Text

  • In this tutorial we will be changing settings for our iJoomla install
  • Begin by navigating to Components >> Magazine >> Settings
  • You can set the name of your magazine
  • You can change the text that is shown above the horizontal content items
  • You can set the default edition. This is shown on the homepage of your iJoomla install.
  • You can change the length of the articles in the edition view page. 0 is no limit.
  • You can change how article linking is controlled. If you only want to use iJoomla for layout you would want to link to regular content pages. If you are using advanced features like the quotes you would want to link to magazine article pages
  • You can choose which content zone shows first. You set the zone the content shows in when setting it up.
  • You can set the number of content items to show in each row and the number of rows to show for each content zone
  • You can change CSS settings. This should only be done if you know what you are doing.
  • You can set up to 2 images to be shown. The first will be shown between vertical items. The second will be shown between horizontal items.
  • Save your settings
  • Now let's go see what the magazine looks like.
