This tutorial will show you how to add a document in DocMAN

 

Tutorial Text

  • In this tutorial we will be creating a new document in DocMAN. Documents are what users see on the frontend
  • Click on Documents in the DocMAN control panel
  • Click New
  • Enter a name for the document
  • Select the file to link the document to
  • Select the category to list the document in
  • If you selected LINKED DOCUMENT in the File dropdown, enter the URL of the document here
  • Enter a description for the document
  • Enter the homepage of the document
  • Select if the document should be approved and published
  • Let's move on to the permissions tab
  • Set permissions for who can view the document
  • Then set permissions for who can maintain the document
  • Let's move on to the license tab
  • Set the license type
  • Then set whether the license should be displayed with the document
  • Let's move on to the details tab
  • There are no parameters for us to change
  • Save the document
  • Our document has now been created
